The closing year leaves us with yet another sad story.

Hustle Gang rapper, Doe B., was confirmed dead early Saturday morning by his manager, DJ Frank White, after being fatally shot at The Rose in Montgomery, Alabama. Allegedly, after being wounded, Doe B.—real name, Glenn Thomas—was rushed to a nearby hospital where he then passed away. He was 22 years old.

WSFA 12 News:
Police are investigating an early morning shooting that has left two people dead and six people injured including a rapper native to Montgomery.
Montgomery Police say on Saturday morning around 1:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Highland Avenue, formerly the Rose Supper Club, they responded to the report of multiple suspects being shot.
When they arrived on the scene they found 21-year-old Kimberle Johnson and 22-year-old Glenn Thomas, known as rapper Doe B, both of Montgomery, suffering from gunshot wounds. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene while Thomas was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Six additional victims were located on the scene also suffering from gunshot wounds. All were transported from the scene or by personal vehicle to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Doe B. reached commercial success with the remix of his hit single, "Let Me Find Out", which featured T.I. and Juicy J.

Word to the signed up-and-coming artists—don't do this!

The Midas touch may be unflattering for Angel Haze, but her forthcoming album debut, Dirty Gold, should be sonically superior with producer Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Mumford & Sons) involved.

Though the release date is still pending, Billboard recently reported that Haze's label, Republic, is clinching for late February or early March 2014.

Mr. and Mrs. Carter would probably describe "Crazy In Love" as an outdated expression of their love.
